The Heart is the source of spirit and connection in Chinese medicine as well as in other traditions. In Chinese medicine, the heart represents Yin fire and is the spiritual center of the body. Yin represents receptivity, openness, gentleness and nourishment, and balances life with Yang energy which represents expansion, enthusiasm, directness and outward-seeking).
In the face of overwhelmingly powerful disturbances of this balance of forces today, turning towards the Yin in our hearts and relationships is a resource for collective care and survival. In this webinar hosted by SSoMA's House of Yin, join Chinese medical doctor, acupuncturist and Qi Gong teacher, Dr. Keivan Jinnah, and long-time herbalist, deep gardener and founder of Avena Botanicals, Deb Soule, as they generously offer their wisdoms and practices to fortify the vitality of our heart during these chaotic, destructive and necessarily creative times. Sonali Sangeeta Balajee will be facilitating this session.
What to expect in this webinar
an opening, grounding Yin-Heart mindfulness practice
reflections on the connection between heart medicine and the Yin during these heartbreaking and destructive political times, grounded in Chinese medicine and cosmology
